resizing an inserted template.

I (newbie) was trying to insert a template component into a new drawing. However, I cannot find a good way to properly resize it. All I could find is the "Scale" command. But I was hoping to resize it according to existing structures, such as making it aligned to bodies and components. I assume that I am missing something crucial here, since such options are available even to totally-crappy software such as TurboCAD.

Without the detail/s Scale should work for you,

obviously there is more to it, that you didn’t mention.

As an example, the red and blue components originate from a separate drawing, which I am using as a template. Upon importing, I would like to size them so that they fit exactly to the sheet in the center. Using the Scale command is painful and imprecise. Is there a better way to do that?
