Replace referenced dimension on delete?

Hi,

When I try to delete a reference dimension I get a warning dialog (with options to Delete anyway or Cancel). I find this would be a great opportunity to be able to browser for a new dimension (an thus solve the problem immediately when being notified).

I an option like this exists, I would like to ask where. If it doesn't I would like to suggest it.

Thanks for posting, this is a good idea and is now an improvement request. (FUS-100460)

Can you help a little more and describe what is required today in order to replace that dimension? Please list the steps and I'll include it in the ticket. The idea is to compare and contrast your suggestion with the current alternative.

Glad to hear.

Currenly the two options would be to:
1) delete (disregarding the warning on screenshot)
2) note down the id of the new dimension
3) manually find dimensions referencing the old one, and change them to reference the new one

or (in rare or very simple cases)

1) rework old referenced dimension's target object so that it is effectively moved to a new location (but still in use and referenced)
1b) this likely includes removing and re-applying mulitple constraints

Perhaps there is a smarter way I don't yet know of. I'm not an advanced user.
