Repeat Pattern Around Inner Face

I know that I can repeat a pattern, in this case a body, along a single edge, but how can I repeat it all around the inner face ?

I have a locking tab that I want to repeat around the inner face of the housing in the attached screenshot, the spacings on each face would be different.

I have also tried mirror and copy / move to rotate it and move it, but it seems like a very long winded way of doing it and I am sure there must be an easier way.

Mirror works fine, to mirror the opposite face, but the problem is with the opposite face(s).

I would really like for each repeated pattern to be a clone of the original, such that I can fine tune the original and all of the other copies will also get updated, but if this cant be done, then a reliable way of just repeating the body around the inner shell would be great.

Hi,

In Screencast 1 I show a variant that does not require mirroring but is a bit fiddly because the starting point of the pattrenhas to be adjusted.
Screencast 2 shows a "simpler" method with mirroring

@g-andresen  - Thanks so much for taking the time to do that.

I also tried the pattern along profile method before you had answered the post, but could not get it to work, the key thing that you highlighted that made it work was to change the start position to the object to clone.

In the end I used the profile pattern > mirror approach as that required less moving of the cloned objects to the desired position than just using the profile pattern method alone.

Thanks again.

One more related question, after creating these tabs, I have created slots in the other half to match using 'combine' that works, but the slots are an exact match dimensionally to the tabs and after printing, it's unlikely that they will fit together.

Other than selecting each slot and doing an offset face for each slot, is there any way of offsetting the faces by 0.2mm during the combine process ??
