Reorganize browser help

I would like to move some of the components in the browser hierarchy to a different location, or subcomponent as it were, but can not get them to move ...  I created a few components, and now would like to clean up the order of the brwoser, so I can sub component those components but they will not move. The only thing I can do is delete them, then activate ware I want them, and recreate or import them...

That is a drag, It would be nice to be able to drag and drop, and If I remember correctly, I could at one time...

Hi,

Thanks for posting. I'd like to help, but I can't fully understand what is going wrong unless I know what you are trying to do.

What method are you using to move components into other components, aside from drag and drop? Have you tried copy and paste?

Is there any way you could make a video using Autodesk Screencast?

Or you could send me the model, or invite me to the project so I can see the data in person.

Thanks,

Phil,

This is the same problem that I had metioned under post:

Sub Components

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-and-documentation/sub-components/td-p/5621695

For others: From my experiance, the reordering of Components works fine intially while the project is small. Somewhere in the work flow that ability is no longer available. As the contributor mentioned, it would be a lot easier just draging and dropping. Once the sub component is created copy/past of bodies can be done only if you first create a body folder (temp body). From there you can convert the pasted body to a sub-component only by making the component above Active first as mentioned.

Regards,

Kevin
