Rendering wires and complex animations

Hello guys, i am asking for advice.

Is it possible to create wire animations like wire bending and render it? Is it possible to create fade animation (not a simple fade like appearance etc, but something like fade from left to right)

I have never tried F360, so i dont know.

If it is impossible to render animation like wire bending, is it possible to create it and export to render software?

And if so - which render solution should i use to render animation created in F360? Does F360 have an option to export parts and animations to rendering software?

I know that F360 is helpful for creating animations like transition and rotation, but i need to create much more complex animations and render it to make commercial videos.

Does the F360 render have a possibility to include alpha transparancy for static images?

Thanks a lot.

Hey @Anonymous,

If you were able to give me an example of what you mean, I would better be able to answer your question, but in the meantime I can do my best. The Animation Workspace in Fusion gives you a good amount of flexibility to rotate, translate, change appearances, explode, turn on/off visibility, and many other operations on your designs. However, the outputs from the animation workspace are not rendered realistically.

Alternatively, you can create rendered motion studies of your design files which will be based off the kinematic relationships you create between your components in your files. The downside of this is that it does not give you the ability to fade, or turn off/on visibility of your individual parts.

See the two videos below for examples of what I'm talking about.

From the look of it, Fusion might not have all the capabilities you're looking for in this regard, but let me know if there's any additional information you need.

Ok, here is the video.

0:36, 0:50, 1:05

this is very good example of things i want to do.

Well, is it possible to do such things in F360, or should i use addition render software?

If another software is needed, which one should i use?

I know that such things are easy to be done in software like c4d, maya and 3dsmax, but they are not so familiar with CADs.

And of course, they cost a lot of money.

Wow - that's a beautiful rendering. I wish Fusion could do that, but unfortunately we offer much more basic animation capabilities. You could get some of the motion of these videos by using our animation workspace, but the visuals would not be nearly as precise, and it would take a decent amount of time to get there.

In terms of other softwares, I'm not sure exactly what would be best for you. Maya would be the first one that comes to my mind, but it isn't very simple to pick up, and like you mentioned, it isn't cheap. Let me know if you find a better solution since I would love to play around with it as well.

I'm creating animations with 50-100 components rotating and assembling with F360 animations workspace. My graphics card is legit, yet the animation workspace can't handle the load with flickering and missing bodies. I've tried all setting adjustments and was wondering if becoming a paying user vs hobby bumps my fusion 360's animation space processing power? Also, I'm interested in creating render quality animations of basic components of wood furniture assembling, is maya still your recommendation or do we have a timeframe of when fusion will be adding this feature?

I can't wait to launch my company and demonstrate the power of the amazing tool you have created.

Thank you,
