Render doesn't show all components

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to Fusion, but very familiar with other CAD packages with over 5 years experience with Inventor, Pro/E, and SolidWorks. I'm building a desk out of 80/20 aluminum extrusions with a glass top. I decided to give Fusion a while and throw together a model of the desk assembly in Fusion. Coming from purely a parametric modeling background, I've had a challenging couple of days trying to wrap my head around how assemblies work in Fusion. That's a completely different forum post so I'll spare you my stuggles and get to the point with the issue that I'm running into right now.

I've created all of the bodies and converted them all to components, assigned materials, etc. Now when I go to Render mode to crank out a fancy looking render of my desk, the rendering gallery is only showing rendering options for an older version of the desk design. I've since made changes and added the glass top; these all show up in the regular model viewports and when ray tracing is on. I'm completely lost at why Fusion is offering to render an older design than the one that is actually showing up in my model and render viewports.

Any ideas of what is going on or what I might be doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help you offer!

FYI, I attached screenshots for reference. You can find the model here as well: Desk Model

chamilton8,

Welcome to the Fusion Forum.

I downloaded your file and rendered it.

Attached are my results.

I am not seeing the missing data as you seem to be experiencing.

Is this the only file that you are missing data in?

Have you tried re-rendering it?

What were the settings that you used?

Thank you.

I suspect what you're seeing is simply the renderings from a previous version. Cloud renderings are generated either explicitly by clicking the "cloud rendering" button, or automatically by saving the file.  We are working on improvnig this design to make it more self-explanatory.

Thanks, @bob_holland! I appreciate you taking the time to render the model for me. Very thoughtful of you.

I spent some time away from my computer the next evening after being all confused about why I couldn't find the renderings. I finally figured out that the renderings were generated off of implicit saves or by request through Cloud Render.

@hutchij - thank you as well. You confirmed my assumptions about how the renderings were generated. I thought I was going crazy there for a second. 😉  Oh, and great job on the Apple Watch model. That looks really great. Did you model that yourself?

Thanks again for the help!

Hi!

I have the same problem. At first it didn't show all my componetns and then I did as you said but now my model is burry and doesn't show all my features.

Any idea of how to fix it?

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous

Can you show a screenshot of what you are seeing?  The blurriness might be because you have depth of Field turned on but you haven't clicked on part of the model to be the focal point.

Dear All,

I have a similar problem as aforementioned even after saving the file before rendering. I did a screen shot where you have a rendering on my computer (left picture) and a rendering in the cloud (right picture):

Some shapes don't appear. Could you please suggest me a solution?

Thanks a lot!
