In the attached image the selected area represents the blade I would like to curve,  presently its a straight up and I would like to curve every blade in the image so it captures the are flow better, is there a way to do this without going back to sketch?

Hi,

If it is a sketch based feature you need to edit the sketch.
But it is then about a single element because of the pattern.

How can the sketch achieve that?  The sketch is a 2d image where it represents the curves around the circle which are extruded up?  I want to curve the part that is extruded.

Image editing is done in software like Photoshop.

For 3D CAD editing - Attach your file(s) here.

@g-andresen , the blades are currently extruded up from the base and curved from the original sketch, I want to implement another curved instead of a vertical extrusion, I want to replace its a curve to add the blades in capturing the air flow.

Keep profile sketch, create Path Sketch,

Sweep the original profile, on a curved Path,

cancel Extrude and edit pattern for the new Sweep.

Might help...

Name your sketches?

Roll timeline to beginning, step, step >>>>>

until it comes to light.

Do your editing, and fix broken icons as you keep stepping to the right.

Might help....

Hi,

Why don't you post pictures?

Probably another newbie question, I've selected the top of the object and clicked create sketch, I can set the outline of the object I clicked on when I created the sketch, but it isn't in the sketch itself, if I drag select the outline is visible but its still not in the sketch, is there anyway to make the selected outline part of the sketch?

This is tricky to explain - reading between the lines, but you will work it out.

you want to edit a vertical blade to something similar to Gunther’s wheel.

you created a sketch, on the top of your extruded blade.  Depending on preferences, and

hide the extruded blade, I presume you can see the profile (blue shading from the top of the blade.)

if correct, so far,

your profile shading is actually in your sketch, - because it was projected you can’t move it, until you window select your sketch items and break the link.  Now you should be able to move the sketch items, but to be honest, I have never tried to move a projected broken link profile.

If not - will need the file.
