Reducing button size

I am new to Fusion 360 & I want to reduce the size of the buttons at

the top of my UI. I couldn't find it in preferences & I don't know where else to look.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me.

Hi tapimjay,

There's no way at the moment (that I'm aware off) to explicitly change the size of the icons within Fusion. There have been a large number of requests, via the Ideastation, to increase the working area of the screen and various people have sited decreasing icon size as possible solutions.

From what I understand from reading the forums, the design team are working on the screen real estate and part of that ongoing process they have rolled out a preview ribbon toolbar layout which, though not finished, can be seen via the preferences > preview and UI Preview.

I  tried it and I really like where it's going. There are a few issues which need to be worked out e.g. I couldn't find the parameter Icon which I often use so I reverted back to the original and eagerly look forward to the next iteration.

All said before was absolutely true- now, how to effectively free up the entire Tool Bar area for editing:

Hover pointer over the thin tile at the far, far left of the Tool Bar > click and hold > drag up to cover/occupy the enormous-empty-mostly-useless blue band and window header.

Boom!   Done.

2021...  I can't get this working.  Is there another solution?

My personal preference would be to un-dock the toolbar (like you can with the browser) and move it to my second screen.

And/or have scalable toolbars. As DPIs continue to increase I think this will become a bigger deal.
