"Components out of date" Message error?

Various times throught the day, on many different files, I get a warning that tells me two components are out of date. But any files I am working on are not out of date (and the message appears even on files that do not have linked components).

I have attached a screenshot showing the message I recieved today and you can see the component is not out of date and in fact there aren't two components linked, or other files open.

What is this message talking about? Is it possible to see what file it is referring to?

Thanks!

It's happening on a different file now (this message seems to appear on any file I work on). Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a different problem?

It's always the same message (TWO components out of date) regardless of the file I am working on.

Thanks!

The screen shots are in the cam workspace so I can't see your time line. If you inserted any external designs and used Remove on then they are still in the design but not viable in the browser so they can be out of date but you will not see this unless you suppress the remove feature. Can you add a screen shot from the model workspace.

Find attached the pictures of the timelines of the two files I screenshotted earlier.

I don't really change any of my components once linked, so I don't think I removed anything? But perhaps I had without realizing it.

I get the same message on many different files, so if I did it wrong once, I probably did a lot of times...

Thanks!

OK nothing looks wrong there, is the linked component an assembly made with linked components. Can you expand the linked component in the browser and any subcomponents.

Here you go...

I know it gets kind of silly but this is how its done:

I have a case model using variables - I enter length width height. This creates a case layout, etc.

Then, I "Save as" to a new folder. (So I can use my model again later without worry of changing any files).

I create a drawing off the new design.

I insert the new design into a new file to set up the CAM.

Hope this helps!

Odd there's no yellow warning triangles anywhere, is there a Get Latest warning at the top of the screen next to the redo icon. I think this might be a problem where you'll need to invite someone from support to have a look.

No, there is no "Get Latest" option at the top unfortunately.

So, I wait for support or is there someplace else I should post...?

Edit: Didn't post a pic from the Model env. sorry.

It's happening again on a new file...attached are the screenshots.

I'm more than happy to share these designs or provide any information needed to help troubleshoot.

Please help, thanks!

I sent an email in a Direct Message to invite me so we can try and determine what is causing this.

Okay, I invited you to the project.

It's big so I'll send details as to which files I have seen this in recently by PM.

Just as an aside:

I seem to be seeing this message today when I am in the CAM workspace (I have yet to see it in Model) but then again, I spend most of my time in CAM so it may just be coincidence.

Thanks!

Interestingly, this warning message wasn't supposed to show up in the CAM workspace :-). It should've only showed up in the Design workspace. Anyways, I'm sure Kevin is well on his way to resolving this issue for you.
Thx for reporting it.

I'm looking for an update - I continue to get this message in the CAM workspace almost on every file I work with.

What's my next step?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Kevin forwarded me your email to him. Unfortunately, this issue appears to be data specific. And hence, could we please get access to your project? My email id is: ahsan dot ali at autodesk dot com. By looking at your data, we should be able to quickly get to the bottom of this.

Thanks and regards,

Hello All,

I may finally have some time to get to the bottom of this today - it still occurs on any file, in the CAM workspace.

The most annoying part (besides my panic that one of my models isn't updated) is that it brings fusion to the front each time the message appears (about once every fifteen minutes or so).

I can get permission to add support to the project, so who should I add?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Not sure if you sent me the invite the last time, but I didn't receive any. Can you please add me - ahsan.ali@autodesk.com

Thx
