Question about proper measurments.

Hello, so I'm designing a plant pot holder for my class, and instead of doing the work in illustrator, I'm doing it in fusion then transferring it to a .AI so it can be cut with a laser.
My main question is this: How can I accurately measure the angle which the two "long" pieces need to be, in order to fit one 90 deg. angle wall, and a 0 deg. angle wall? The "walls" are going to be found in the top drawing that holds the pot, and the "two" long pieces are found immediately below it.
I've uploaded a file if you want to take a peek. I forgot my geometry as it's been a while, so I've forgotten how to calculate that. If there's a quick feature in fusion that allows me to do it, then perfect.

Hi,

Before you start dimensionings you should eliminate the numerous undefined line ends (white dots).
I think your angles should be 45°.

Woah, mama, they weren't there before.

So 45 deg. for one siding to fit on a 90 deg. wall, and 45 for the 0 deg. "plane"?
Secondarily, is there a way to make sure my holders actually like up with the two horizontal lines found on the main body that's to be cut, when I fold it to make that 90 deg. wall, I'd like a nice flush finish.
It's been a while since I took geometry. haha

Hi Adrian,

Before I can say anything about your questions I would have to see how it should look (approximately) once. This is especially important to avoid misunderstandings when using terms. Please upload a picture with assigned labels. Basically not all components should be shown in a sketch.

here you go.

I was in the middle of attempting to fix it, but not quite sure how to do so once those lines are drawn with out erasing them and redoing those lines.

Should give you more info.

You don't need to do the math. Fusion can do it for you graphically.

This is going to sound condescending, and I really hope you don't take it that way, but... You're teaching students? Are you teaching them Fusion? Or are you teaching them plant pot holder design?

You don't even understand the basics of a good sketch. That's beginner level.
