project surface to a spline

Hi all

Am stumped andd hope you can provide guidance.

I have a gentle up-curving spline running more or less horizontally on a sketch on a vertical plane - the shearline of a boat as seen from the side.

Above it on a sketch on a horizontal plane is the planform outline of a boat.hull

I would like to create 'horizontal' surface along  the spline, bounded by the projection

of the planform sketch

Can't figure out how to do it and hope you can help.

In the Patch environment, extrude the Spline curve on the vertical sketch.

Then Split Body, with the top view curves being the cutter/s.  Remove or hide the offcut body.
