Much like the "project cut edges" tool works for bodies, how can I project the point at which a sketched line intersects a sketching plane?

You may be able to use project of the sketch line to get the intersection.

But I expect you are looking for something like the peirce constraint in SolidWorks. We are adding this capability in our next update in a few weeks.

Yes, something like pierce is what I am looking for.  Glad it will be included.  Seems like "project/inclide- project cut edges" would be a natural place for it.  Thanks.
