Project from other planes.

I have a part for which I want to cover the interior surface with some thin foam, which I'd like to laser cut out.

You can see from this shape, it would be 2 L shaped pieces for top and bottom and 2 rectangles for the back and side pieces.

How would one go about projecting all these shapes down onto a seperate flat plane so I can send this to the laser software?

Few ways to do it, but laying flat will be done externally?

I would model the foam pieces,

extract the faces into dxf.

Might help....

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

What is the foam thickness?
