Problems updating Fusion 360??

This is making me crazy!  Why wont Fusion update from my internet connection?   The only way I have been able to update after days of messing with it is to haul my workstation over to a frends house to there connection.

Thanks for the help!

Werner

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry to hear that this is happening 😞 Can you tell me a little bit more about your home internet? Is it running off of a proxy or has some odd restrictions that may be blocking Fusion from accessing the internet to update? Perhaps it is a Firewall/Anti-Virus issue? Since it is an update issue (as you already have Fusion installed) this will be a little bit hard to test, but if you are willing to work with me we can try some things out! Also, take a peek at the links below and make sure that your internet settings match those articles. Also, what Operating System are you using?

@James.Youmatz

Hi James, I suspect that is our case too. Remember our post about not able to update nor install? I am using the same ISP at home and office. I could only install the Apple Store Version.

Well it's been nearly a year since I wanted to start using fusion. I have spent hundred's of hours and been to thousands of webpage's trying to figure out the solution. My problems all stem from not being able to update. I don't understand why Fusion is so finicky as to which Internet service I am using? I have a workstation and a laptop that I do my modeling on. I can get my laptop to update if I go down to the local Starbucks. However the main system I use is my workstation and have had nothing but problems trying to update it. If I take my workstation over to a friends house who has Time Warner I am able to update it and it works? If anyone could please direct me to links that may offer up a solution I would really appreciate the help! Is there any way I could off-line update? I use Verizon for my Internet access and have had absolutely no problem with any of my other programs.

Thanks for the help!

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry for the delayed response. If you don't mind answering, I have some questions:

  • What router and Internet Service are you using? Does this internet differ than the one at your friend's house?
  • Do you have another computer that you can try on your network to try to see if we can rule out it being your network, and not somehow linked to your machine options.
  • Does your router have an internal firewall?

Can you send me your log files? I'd prefer to see both your installation and application log files if possible. Feel free to send them to me at james.youmatz@autodesk.com. This guide here should show you how to do that.

Thanks,
