Problem: Thicken command goes beyond joined walls.

Hello All,

I am recreating a tail light shell replacement and trying to use Fusion 360 as correct as possible. After Patch, Thicken, and Join some of the wall edges go beyond the adjacent wall. The parts that are the problems are more complex either use Arc or T-Spline which I am sure is the issue.

I just don't understand why the thicken areas are doing this and not stopping at the adjacent walls borders or how to fix it.

Body thickness was supposed to be 3mm but 2mm was acceptable.  I would have accepted the entire body to become solid once patched but I guess it's too complex of a shape with the curved patches?

This is just the prototype and some adjustments via Dimensions will need to be made in the future once test printed.

Could use some help on this one!

Thanks!

I think that is because you are doing the thicken in multiple features.  If you instead select more than one face in a single thicken, you will get the results you need:

Jeff,

Thank you for the speedy and extremely helpful reply! I have been able to move to the prototype print phase instead of wasting more time fighting this.

Thanks!
