Hello @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting in the community!

I am sorry to hear that. Can you please let me know which tutorial you are trying?

Since I could take a closer look at your problem on my machine, would you mind sharing your design with me?

I would be able to have your design on this thread or in a private message, either by attaching the file or creating a public link - see the below how to create the public link:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/a360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-sh...

It would be also appreciated if you would record how you operated by Screencast; this would help me troubleshoot this behavior!

Thanks!

Hello,

thanks for replying to my problem.

The tutorial is from Lars Christensen.

I folowed the tutorial exactly as he did, but dont have the same result.

Attached is a picture with lars giving the tutor. It is on youtube. Perhaps his version is older?

Hi @Anonymous

I went through the tutorial.

I think version is not a problem.

I couldn't understand what exactly the problem is ,from the screen shot.

Can you specify exactly what you weren't able to do?

Hello
Yes the front pipe is red and has lines through it. Push/pull dies not want to extrude. It is supposed to be 28 mm but does not go beyond what is shown in the picture. Why is it red? It must be a fault. I did a fee repeats of the tutorial snd get the same. I also tried extruding from the front and get the same result. It is almost as if only can have one pipe?

Hi Andre, welcome to the forum!

Are you able to attach your file as @saito.kh mentioned?

Sometimes a small, unintended action can lead to unexpected behaviour and being able to look through your file will allow us to discount that.

Cheers,

Indy

Hello,
I am frustrated with this. the extruder on the front face worked 100%, now I tried doing the same on the side of the box and it does not want to
perform the extrude. it shows red .Must be something I am doing wrong.
I followed Lars Christensen tutorial exactly up to this point.

Do you have a section analysis enabled? I have seen similar if you use slice in a sketch and leave it enabled when you close the sketch as well.

Hello,
Will have a look if it is enabled. But never used it before.

Looking at your screencast you have an analysis folder in your browser, it is only created if you have a section analysis in your design so I suspect that's the problem.

Here's your screencast and you can see the section analysis folder.
