Press Pull (cut) open design for cutting on CNC

Not applicable

Every time I think I'm getting the hang of Fusion.....

How would this be designed?  I have tried everything I can think of.  I can design these patterns, but cannot extrude (cut) them out in order to create a tool path because lines cannot be extruded?  Someone please fill me in.

Thanks,Tdrum.jpg

It should be easy to draw a sketch that defines the cut out areas as a single profile, then extrude it to cut through the top.  Looks like some circles, connected by lines (I would draw connecting lines from the center of the circles, then use the offset function to get centered profiles). Other curves could be fillets, but all you need to do is to get to a closed profile that is extrudable. You can't extrude lines, so you need to create a closed set of lines that defines the shape.   Use the Trim tool to edit out the lines you don't need after you get the shape you want.

Or am I misunderstanding your questions?
