Preserve order not working.

I know how to use preserve order, but for some reason even though it is turned on it is not working.  I have a large number of objects with internal circle holes, and I have assigned them to be cut first before the perimeter.  When the toolpath  is created it is just not keeping the correct order and wants to cut out the perimeter and then go back and do the holes.  of course by then the cut piece has fallen into the water table.   I am running the latest updated version of fusion 360.  Has anyone else experienced this situation and is anyone have a solution as it is preventing me from completing my project?

So here is one of the shapes the just will not cut properly. I have it set to do before interior holes and then the perimeter, but fusion cuts the two left holes and then as soon as it passes over the perimeter edge it switches to that before finishing with the two right holes.  I have tried numerous alternative selections but each time the pattern crosses over that little indentation it wants to do the perimeter.  Preserve order is definitely on and has actually been set to the default but it does not seem to be able to overcome this pattern.

have you tried just having the holes and perimeters be 2 separate operations?

also there's a manufacture forum that is more likely to have knowledgeable folks for this type of thing-

the alignment of the holes to the perimeter is extremely critical, so while I have looked at this option I am concerned that the origin point might be slightly off with the two separate cuts.  I felt that in the past the preserve order did what it was supposed to do and I do not know why the latest version on my machine does not seem to work

The origin is defined in the setup.  if the origin shifting between tool path operations was a problem the program would be completely useless.  I'm not suggesting that preserve path isn't working right or that it is the wrong way to do this, but breaking down tool paths into multiple operations is a common approach to getting the order of complicated cutting schemes to work.

I have confirmed that that will not work to split into two cuts. the origins are not the same. If I modify the shape so that the path between the left holes and the right holes do not intersect the perimeter, then it will cut properly... but I do not want to change the shape. The fact is that preserve order is not working properly.

can't help you with the preserve order problem.  that needs to be addressed by someone from AD.  but the origin problem can probably be corrected.  can you export your model as a .f3d and attach to a post?

I have the same issue after the system updated, were you able to get it solved?
