Potential Sketching Constraint Errors

It seems like I end up getting some weird sketch behavior in a lot of my sketches and I'm not sure why, see the screen cast included with this post. In the screen cast, the majority of the sketch is fully defined. I add one relation, and what had been fully defined changes color to indicate that it's under constrained. Any idea why that would be?

Hi @Anonymous

When I look at your sketch, I have noticed that you have sketched on top of a contraction sketch. This is not good, it can be difficult to create constraints and dimensions on the right sketch!

Keep your sketches as clean and simple as possible, if you don't use it, delete it, like the construction sketch under the outside Rectangle. If you are not using the default X contruction after you have created a rectangle, then delete it.

Try removing all the unnecessary construction sketches and see if it helps.

Cheers / Ben

Hey Ben,

Thanks for the reply. I definitely don't do a good job of removing
unnecessary sketch geometry. I'll try simplifying my sketches in the future
and see if it makes a difference. Thanks!!
