Positioning a hole in X and Y...

I'm working on a model and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to have holes I'm creating to be placed where I want them.

I'm using Create, then Hole, then I'm inputting my diameter, but can't figure out how to place the hole at a particular location.

How do I use the Create, Hole feature so that I can input my X and Y locations?

Create the position in a sketch before creating the hole.  You can use points or endpoints of geometry to locate the hole.

When I create a position in sketch, the same thing occurs, I can either pick the origin or anywhere that it'll snap to, but not to specific coordinates.  I tried creating a position at the origin, then moving, but I'm getting the same issue as I was before, it doesn't go where I want it to.

Is there a way to select position, then input X and Y coordinates?  I get the idea that I should be able to snap the position anywhere and then move my X and Y, but that's not working.

You must make the point in the sketch at the position you want the hole.  You can move the point using dimensions if you want to move the hole after it has been created.

That's what I'm trying to do, but how do I create the position at the X and Y location that I want?  Can I input my X and Y location somewhere, I don't see a box coming up that allows me to do that?

The only thing I can do is to create a point at a random location or the origin, but not at my precise location.

In the sketch, use the dimension tool to precisely position a point - you can dimension from the sketch origin, projected model geometry, or the projected component or global origin.  Use a horizontal and a vertical dimension to get X and Y values.  If that is not obvious, let me know, and I'll create a short video.

Where do I input that horizontal and vertical dimension to get my location?  That's what I'm missing, should be an easy way to create a circle, but with certain X and Y dimensions?

See the screencast below.  It shows how to dimension from the sketch origin, but a similar method will work for dimensioning from any other point:

Thanks Jeff, that worked.

Little cumbersome having to go back and do the sketch dimension, but it works and that's all the matters.  I just figured there would be a dialog box for when you create points and you could either snap or input a direct X and Y location.  I mention that because I work in Mastercam and it's pretty easy there.  Slowly but surely I'm learning Fusion for my designing, so a lot of differences, but that's part of learning.

There is another workflow, if you want to dimension from model edges - if you pick the edges, you can dimension from those edges:

I have the same problem with X, Y hole positioning. I did see what you did in the video, but the older version of placing a hole was much easier, now the "new hole" feature involves much more difficulty.

Any chance this new version can be fixed like the older way?

Just wanted to support your thoughts.

I was able to position multiple holes from the center point of my block using the Center rectangle and 1 other point in sketch.  i needed 4 holes in specific positions from the center point and i used the points that are created at the corners of the rectangle as my sketch points for the holes. this should work the same with any sketch polygon. just create the shape then in the create hole menu select "From sketch (multiple holes)" and select the points that were created where the lines intersect.
