points along a line

Hello,

In a sketch, if I want a number of points along an edge, is the best way to set one in the middle, then do rectangular pattern but only in one dimension, symmetrically outwards in two directions... or is there another way to divide a line into equal segments?

Thanks

Yes, this is somewhat of a limitation in Fusion sketch.  There is no "pattern on path" in sketch, or "divide curve by points".  If the line is linear, you can use rectangular pattern from a point at one end (but be careful if your point count is high, your sketch will get very slow).  Your method of using the midpoint then pattern can also work.  You can use "split curve" if you want to progressively sub-divide a curve (point at the midpoint, split, point at each half's midpoint, split again, etc).  But that is kind of tedious.

Just out of curiosity, what are you trying to do with these points?
