PLEASE PLEASE Help! Combining / Merging Issue

Hi, I have just joined so am a newbie in the forum.  Exploring 3D printing and need some help please. How do I create a tapered 11mm slot hole,  26mm x 11mm (slot hole top), to 11mm (hole at bottom), placed 25 x 4 times (100 holes, 4 rows or 25 holes), exactly 14mm center to center of 11mm hole, side by side along the 25 hole axis, in a 30mm thick block please? I can create the block, with holes, and the slot shape separately, but nothing I can find to try so far is allowing me to do this in a way that puts that slotted out hole in the block.  I accept I am new but I have spent so much time for a couple of weeks watching videos and reading instructions, and I am clearly missing something. PLEASE HELP...

Block link below, if I have done it correctly.

Thank you for your time in advance, and have an enjoyable week. Neville

I think you’re going to get more traction for this question in the 360 Design forum. This is for CAM specifically, and it seems your issue is more of a design hurdle.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I've flagged this thread to have it moved to the correct forum. However, I'm working on a screencast that will walk through the steps I would take to accomplish what you are looking for. Will update when it's available (takes forever it seems)

Here you go:

Screencast will be displayed here after you click Post.

Seth,

you are an absolute star!

Thank you for the time you put in to help me. I can't thank you enough.

I learnt a great deal from that video...

I can see now why I had no chance of doing that myself in the short term codging it together from multiple videos.

At the risk of seaming rude, did you happen to save the finished two items that I could download as a reference please? Absolutely fine if not. I am happy already 🐵

Warmest Regards

Mark

Seth,

Could I ask another question please, as you are clearly and expert in this program?

How do I turn the solid areas of the block into a support mesh to lighten the structure and make it print much faster, whilst still using fine printing to have a smooth outside please?

i hope you don't mind me asking?

Have a great week.

That is not something I'm certain can be done in Fusion (as I understand it). Do you have software for you printer, I suspect you would find the solution there.

I know Fusion well enough to accomplish most things, but I'm far from an expert in all areas.

The infill percentage and sometimes also the infill pattern ( hexagonal, triangular, etc) are usually defined in the slicer software.
