Plane along Path

Hello,
I tried to reproduce the steps in this video.
But when moving the plane to the center point of the cylinder it changes its orientation and is in this point parallel to the cylinders top and bottom and not longer perpendicular to the angled path.

Can you verify that and give guidance on how to solve this problem?

Best regards,
Hannes

I think the only thing you are not doing is to continue to drag the plane along the path.  In you attached screen capture it shows you are only .59 "Proportional Distance" along the path which shows you can still drag the plane further.  Take a look at the Animated GIF to see what I mean.

You have included the center line of the cylinder in selection of the path.
And the plane will flip then the path change direction.
Only select the path you want the plane aligned to.

Thank you for pointing that out.
I had to uncheck the chaining in the plane dialogue:
