I was looking at getting a laptop for reasons unrelated to CAD when I noticed that the integrated graphics that come with AMD's new 7040 series CPUs are actually really impressive.

Specifically the Ryzen 7 7840U with Radeon 780m integrated graphics can get 60+ fps in certain AAA games at 1080p with low to medium settings.

It's been a very long time since I've used Fusion 360 on anything other than a desktop workstation with a dedicated graphics card, so I'm curious if anyone has tried it on these new CPUs.

Would be nice to able to work on stuff in the balcony or at the park on a nice day.

I'm also interested because I have a framework with the Intel 11th gen chip and Iris graphics and may decide to pull the trigger on their new board with AMD, but I will also need to buy new RAM.

Please let me know how it performs if you do end up upgrading.

I just ran across this thread and for those of you interested I am a 30yr Autodesk user and currently use Revit primarily as well as Fusion and other 3D modeling and rendering software and just completed a desktop build using a AMD Ryzen™ 7 PRO 8700G with integrated AMD Radeon™ 780M, and I must say that only after two weeks this processors capabilities are impressive even with large complex models. See attached image for my configuration.
