Part and Assembly (create new version when saving) MAC

Why will the program create new version of part/assembly every time i click save?..

Even if i remove in the preferences/ Automatic reversioning.

I use MAC computer.

If you must have this option on how do i update an assembly that have one part.V1.

And i later update this part to .V2. The assembly will not update the part.V1 to V2 automatically.

Thanks for posting these question.

Yes, when you save, Fusion does always create a new version.  That's kind of fundamental to the whole data management model of Fusion.

Currently Fusion does not support associative references to other designs.  That is, when you Insert a design into another, it is a copy.  However...  We are working just now to add this capability.

See this blog post for what is coming to Fusion very soon:  distributed-design-in-fusion-360

Hope you can wait just a bit for this capability

Thanks for the respons.

I learning something new everyday 🙂

Hope the Fusion continue with new updates, because the program can become the best CAD/Cam software.
