Parametric design?

Hi,

I have been struggling with this one thing. I am trying to do parametric designing and using user parameters.

I created a box with user parameters for width and height.

I extruded this

I then made a new sketch on top of this box and made 4 slots.

I extruded these to a cut.

This is all fine

However, now if I want to change my width and height of my new box, the slots I made do not change with the new size. See below the two pictures.

How do I change the parameters and keep others thing like the slots in relationship to the new size change.

I want to be able to change the size of the with and height and everything else changes with it. Is this possible?

Thank you and I have been watching many videos and if there is a video or article that can directed me in this, please link me.

BEST,

Raj

Make the parameters relative to each other.  Formulas work well in parameters. You can also use constraints like midpoints.

The slots that you create have to be referenced to the overall design distances from side to side with heights and locations… Then they will change
