Parametric Design and import items

Hi I have some question about importing the objects that I already created. My friend ask me to sketch for him simple kitchen cabinets, but in the process I constantly change the dimension that was no problem at all, I was used parameters and that works great. So my "problem" is this, if I sketch 5 elements that are crucial for building the kitchen, let say 2 small 1 big drawer, 90°Corner for the sink, regular cabinet etc. Is it possible to import the object/component inside new file with used parameters on that component. Than if someone want I easily change from 540 mm wide to 600 mm. Next thing is it possible to use the common parameter for height, depth etc.

One more thing not related with upper story, in the Google SketchUp  if I want to create 5 objects I have shortcut to create one body (component) and than repeat how much pcs I need with (*(number of times)). Does something similar to this option I can find inside Fusion 360, to multiple bodys next to each other.

example can be, wood boards that need to be next to each other..

Hello @Anonymous

Thank you for posting your query.

Regarding the first query. In Fusion, you can Copy/Paste entire component from one document (file) to another. This will carry over all the Parameters used within that Component.

Regarding the second query, you can use patterns (Modelling->Create->Patterns) to create multiple incidences of the same body. There are three options available Rectangular, Circular and Pattern along a path. Once multiple copies of the body are created you can freely move them around.

I hope this will help. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you,

Best Regards
