Hello All!
I am back with another parameters error.
I have attached a screencast showing the error as well.
It is easy to reproduce on a new file:
- create a parameter "ThisName" and set a value (1 is fine)
- create a new parameter "Name" and try to set the value as "ThisName" in the creation window...suddenly it says the parameter name "Name" is invalid??
- Set the value of "Name" to anything to be allowed to create it (2 is fine)
- You now have two variables - ThisName (value=1) and Name (value=2) - Change the value of Name to ThisName - it accepts it. So now ThisName=1 and Name=ThisName.
But...why doesn't it let you create Name with the value ThisName?? Why can't you name a parameter, and use a parameter name that CONTAINS the name on creation, but you can use it afterwards?? It's driving me crazy ![]()
Is the internal "check the value and parameter name do not match" set to check if any part matches on creation for some reason?
Everything works fine after I create and change the value as shown in the screencast.
Thanks so much! ![]()
