Origin on new plane

When you create a new plane (by example an plane on angle) you create a plane on an axis. But an axis had no dimention. On the new plane the midpoint of the plane is different from the origin point so if ur origin isn't visible you probably  create a sketch on the midpoint of the plane. which leads to having different "center points".

Correct!

When you use an axis, the new sketch origin is going to be in the middle of the initial visible length of that axis.

A good practice is not to use that new sketch origin and to project another origin into that new sketch and reference that for creating sketches d dimensions.

If you change the length of that axis later the new sketch origin will remain in the original spot and does not "travel" to the new midpoint of the axis. That also applies if you created the sketch n an edge of geometry. That latter behavior is a bug I have reported years ago!

@TrippyLighting   Do you think that you could explain what you mean by "project another origin into that new sketch and reference that for creating sketches" please?

To create fully defined sketches (fully constrained and fully dimensioned) you need to reference either the sketch origin or project "something" into that new sketch. Then you can constrain or dimension your new sketch objects by referencing that projected "something"

That "something: can be sketch objects from other sketches, edges and faces from 3D geometry or the origins from your components.

OK I think I understand,  what you are suggesting is simply projecting some other geometry into the sketch and using that to constrain some sketch element rather than using the sketch origin or axes

Correct! This applies to creating a plane at angle only, however.
