Origin In animation?

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi all,

New to fusion and CAD but coming along very nicely, however hit a speed bump I can't find the answer for.

Can you move or set an origin in the animation section?

I have it all rigged in modeling and works great, but soon as I move to try make a video I can't get it right.

Added a screen shot it explains much better than I!

Many Thanks,

Shaun

Hi,

Welcome to the Fusion forums!

From your attached image, it looks like you are trying to move the pivot location and have not completed the transaction.

Click the green check mark to accept the new pivot location.

If you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks,

yeah it won't accept the center of the circle (snapping). otherwise the animation is horrid. its moved and rotates the model. hard to explain.

That does look a little confusing.

The edge of the hole defines the center of the hole when moving the pivot. But when you get near the hole, Fusion moves the pivot preview to the center, but the new position is not actually selected. In your video you are clicking on the "preview" of the new pivot location. Instead click on the edge that defines the hole, that will take it from "preview" to "ready to accept the location".

Select the highlighted edge in the image below, then click the green check mark.
