Offsetting a spline loop only extrudes with certain widths

I have a sketch that I inserted a SVG into. The SVG is what I would call a spline loop. I wish to offset the spline loop by 3.5mm and then extrude it to make a cookie cutter. I am unable to do this at the desired 3.5mm offset however at different offset widths it works fine. The offset loop at 3.5mm has an offending point which prevents the loop from being able to push/pull. I don't know how to close this point or why it doesn't work the same way as the different offsets. Coming from Inventor the constraints in F360 are confusing me a bit. When it works they're much simpler and hassel free but when it doesn't I have no clue what to do. Will someone help me understand whats fouling up the offset?

Here's a screenshot of the sketch which shows 3 offsets(2mm, 3.5mm and 6mm) the 2 and 6 work fine but the 3.5 is not "complete" enough to extrude. By adding a line I was able to isolate the offending point.

I've included a dxf of the sketch and the original svg. When I insert the svg my units are Inches and I scale to 1/72.

If I figure out how to upload the project file I'll add it too.

I have serveral cookie cutters I'm trying to make for my wife so if the solution is to find the offending point everytime and try to rework it I'll probably just end up going back to inventor. But I'm enjoying how simple and quick Fusion 360 has been so far and would like to keep using it.

Thanks for posting this.  This is definitely a bug.  I'll file it and we'll take a look at it.  It looks like 3.5 mm is just the place where two lines collapse into one.  That's a good clue, I think, about what the problem probably is.  Good detective work in finding out the offending point.

When I've tried to make cookie cutters in the past, I tend to use Shell on the solid, instead of offset on the sketch:

I'm glad to hear that you like Fusion so far.  Don't give up on it yet!  I suspect that this is not a common case.

Thanks for the suggestion of using shell command. I'll give that a try and see how it works out for me.
