Offset does not create area to extrude

Hi everyone.

I've imported an SVG and clean it to close correctly my shape. Now I can extrude my shape but this is not what I want. I make an offset of -1.2mm (to the exterior), but I cannot extrude this area, between my shape and the new "perimeter". It's like the perimeter isnt close. But, for example, if a make an offset of -10mm instead of -1.2, it works.

Do you have an idea of why I cannot extrude my 1.2mm area ?

Because you imported the SVG.

Fusion does not handle imported articles, the same as it's own native curves.

Trace the original item in Fusion instead, for better results.

Hi,

The quality of this basis is beyond dispute.

Even though you can achieve a result with the Shell tool in this case, I can only agree with @davebYYPCU  statement.
