Odd Sketch Behavior

I've run across something thaqt I can't figure out what is happening. When I am viewing my model I can see a face that extends farther than I expect it to be based on what I did when I created the sketch, If I then go to edit the sketch the face appears as it should but as soon as I stop the sketch the extended face appears again.

Here's a screen cast to show what I'm talking about, http://autode.sk/1DTlujH

Also is there a way to set F360 to not change the current view when you edit a feature? I really don't like it when I have my model positioned how I want and then if I want to edit a sketch it completely changes my view to some view I have no idea where it came from.

Thanks,

George

My initial guess is that it's caused by some projection curves. Do you have the f3d? If you can attach the file here or directly send it to me so we can have a deeper look? My email is Jiang.Peng@autodesk.com

thanks

Hi george,

For the first behaviour "a face that extends farther than I expect it". It's caused by a MoveBody Feature after the sketch. You can take a look the Timeline of your model. The Timeline shows all the Feature histories of your model. And after that Sketch3, There is a "MoveBody operation" which move the body and make the model "extends father than you expect".

If that "MoveBody" is not your design intent, you can just select that Feature in Timeline and press "Delete". After that, the sketch will show as expected.

Thanks for pointing that out. Instead of MoveBody I should have used MoveComponent. I was able to edit that operation in the timeline and change it from body to component and now the sketch appears correctly.

Thank you for finding the source of my problem!
