Object freezes / stalling when I move on Mac Pro

I am working on a drawing where I need to align to objects. When I highlight the object and select to move, the compute freezes for several minutes like it is thinking. It seems like I have been having this problem since the last update. The software is much slower and thinking more. Is there something that I might be able to disable? Picture is below. Can anyone help?

Do I need to upgrade?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)

Processor: 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris 1536 MB

Thank you for reaching out. Looking at your screenshot, it seems like you’re trying to move a component with patterned bodies. It is also an externally referenced part since there is a chain link icon. I doubt that what you are experiencing is due to the last update. How are you trying to move it? Are you dragging it with your cursor or are you right-clicking and using the manipulators to move?

Here is my video response to your issue:

I’ve also saved a seperate version of the design in your project so you can refer to what I did for future reference. I also addressed a number of tips and tricks in this video, so hopefully it’ll be helpful for you. Let me know if you have any questions.
