Not able to change appearance

Hello,

I have made a quadcopter design. I made all the components separately and then combined everything. Now, when I changed the appearance of the arms to carbon fiber, the whole material including motors got carbon fiber appearance. I want to change the appearance of the motor to something else. But I am not able to do it. Also, I want to change the propeller appearance but nothing is getting changed, once the carbon fiber is applied.

Please help me.

@Anonymous Welcome to Fusion 360 forum. Can you share your model here so that anyone can take a look & suggest ?

Is this behavior happening for specific model or any other models as well ?

Hello,

I am a beginner. So I don't have much idea. But, it seems it is happening in only one model. Because I have used join command to join 2 things. It seems, it can be a reason. I am just guessing.
I cannot put the picture here as it is related to some project and research work on innovative idea.
