BSC (British Standard Cycle) Thread Data

Seems like there is loads of options on threads in Fusion but no BSC data table?

Specifically 1/2" 26TPI thread, still a highly common engineering standard in British fabrication.

Why no love for BSC? Heart

I'm new to the product but would like to show the geometry in the model accurately and i may also look to translate this into inventor later for production drawings, not good to have thread data shown incorrectly as later it may not be picked up in drawing, especially as this is likely to be done by colleague, i don't know this thread size is supported inside inventor either. Any one?

"This fine thread profile was formulated for, and is well suited to cycle and motorcycle applications. Its fine pitch, allows high torque settings, and resists the tendancy to loosen under vibration, the larger core diameter also gives greater shear strength. Most people think that all cycle threads are 26 tpi pitch. Whilst this is true of all the most popular sizes from 1/4" to 3/4" diameter, other pitches were also used as shown in the tables seen in the CEI section

Angle of thread = 60o" - www.britishfasteners.com/threads/bsc.html

@Anonymous,

This is a good idea.  Please submit this as a IdeaStation request.

Later this year we are looking to improving our hole functionality, along with combining it with the hole feature.  Based off of community support we will evaluate adding this to the project.

Cheers,

See this ideastation request, 4th comment down gives information on adding custom threads to Fusion.
