Newbie question on HT resize one face of a box

Hi. Suppose I have a created a simple box, and I want to resize one face of it (say, the top). Specifically, I want to move all the edges of the top face in towards the center of that face by x amount. The result will be a "box" with sloping sides.

Thanks much in advance

Look at draft or chamfer on the modify menu.

Hmm I'll try this . I also since discovered that the loft feature might be used to do this . Thx

Hi @kdeuler,

A loft I think would work pretty good here as well! What I would do is do an offset plane off of that face and then using the project tool, project the box geometry into the offset plane and then use the offset sketch tool (redundant I know) to create the smaller portion. Then by lofting the top of the box to the offset sketch profile, you will have a drafted edge. Check out this screencast below!

Thanks,
