Newbie Advise appreciated for drawing for drawing a simple Closing Mechanism!

Hello,

i want to draw a Brass Pencil Case with fusion 360 and optimize the design of  it. I am new to fusion 360 and i can not figure out a thing. The Pencil Case has a simple closing mechanism.

Inside it's a little cavity, outside it's like a buldge (I attached a picture to demonstrate)

Could you please give me a little hint how this is constructed with Fusion 360?
Any help is very much appreciated!

Many thanks in advance and best regards,

See Attached.  (Let's see if you can model the matching lid.)

I made it a bit too tight...

Advantage of parametric modeling - easy to adjust this.
