New to fusion 360 - How to take from design to CnC

Hello,

I am new to the Auto Cad world and just purchased a OMICNC milling engraving machine. I intend on making simple 2D designs like in the link below. Just a rectangular piece of material with a pocket within the inner dims of it. Pretty simple to design in sketch! The issue I am having is going from the sketch to everything else that is required to produce the g-code to produce my design.

I have tried to set the tool paths etc, export the .NC file and run it on my mill and its not doing anything like the simulation in cam was doing. Everything looks good ascetically while I am running the virtual mill in the cam menu. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

"not doing anything like" conveys no useful information.  Is it running too fast? Too slow? Is the mill set for inches and toolpaths in millimeters? Is it plunging too deep? Not deep enough? Have you configured the mill correctly?  Does the post-processor match the mill?

The CAM forum would be a better place for this.
