New to Fusion 36

Hello everyone, I'm Niesha. I recently enrolled in a cnc manufacturing class that has us using fusion 360 and I'm still learning my way around the software. I'm looking to connect with as many peoples as I can to master the program. I am eager to learn from everyone in hopes to land a job in manufacturing. Since I started my class in June our teacher has given us a bunch of scale drawings and this one, I'm working on now is pretty tough. I have attached pics of the drawings if someone could help me understand how to create the back piece it looks like it bends up but I'm not sure how to get the proper measurements with that piece going up. Do I create a rectangle or draw lines to make that piece? Any help is appreciated. Thank you in Advance.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

That way we can see that you have made an honest effort to model the geometry on your own.

Am I supposed to magically know what link you are referring to?

Sorry I think it shows a bit clearer here you know the two fork pieces in the front. I drew my measurements on the side but they didn't connect with the forks.

OK, now we can move forward with this design.

Start over.

In your new file create a sketch on the top plane and sketch a 2-Point Rectangle as shown.

Dimension the Rectangle as shown below...

This next step is critical - always use symmetry about the Origin when practical.

Add a Midpoint Constraint between the Origin and the midpoint of the left vertical line of the Rectangle.

@bryantniesha

Forget your previous attempt for now.

You were sort of on the right track, but we are starting over.

@bryantniesha

Follow my instruction exactly.

The location of the Origin is critical for easy modeling.

Now add a second 2-Point Rectangle as shown below...

TheCADWhisperer_0-1751808708075.png

Then add a Midpoint Constraints between the two points shown below...

TheCADWhisperer_1-1751808786563.png

Now add this 12.836 dimension...
