You will be happy to know that we have been working towards improving turntable renderings in Fusion. There are some of you who requested this on IdeaStation. We have a new version ready (to be released soon).
With this new version,
- your model does not have to be centered at the origin.
- the model rotates around the center of the scene.
- the camera framing remains intact, so you can setup a low camera angle, a top-down shot or a close-up shot.
The downside is that
- you cannot select a pivot since you are re-rendering a turntable from a still image
- if you have background objects in the scene, everything will be rotated.
But I think, it's a big improvement from what we have now in Fusion and here is the video showing how I created a new turntable in Fusion.
