Need some help modeling suspension fork's arch

I am having some trouble modeling the arch of a Cane Creek HELM fork.

First, I want to mention the original model is not mine, and second, I don't have much experience with direct surface modeling.

The model is composed from some simple solid models and this not so simple open surface. So, I would like to understand what's needed to model this part, at present I just cant wrap my head around it.

I'll attach the model and some references

Sorry for the bump, but maybe other people can see this and chip in.

Also, maybe this request is just too much, but anyway, thank you all again.

Not sure what you wanted, I have basically closed over the back of the gold part then joined to the lowers.

Hi, I just wanted to know how to model this kind of shape form scratch, but what you made is great too!

Thank you so much for your answer!

Then you investigate the model you had, each surface is made individually, with the available tools.  Stitched together for one piece.

Cut the model in half, and figure each section out as Loft, Revolve, or Extrudes, with basics and Split Body to trim them.

Mirror for the other side.
