Need help in sketch or 3D sketch and sweep

Hi all,

I want to connect a coil with a straight piece coming through the middle. Fig is attached below.

As shown I am struggling to connect the straight line with the coil with a smooth curve, where I can alter the fillet. I have tried a few method. I have got into a brain freeze now.

Can anyone give some ideas. I have attached the file below.

Quick and dirty.

Use a 2 point spline, connect both sketch items, and at each connection, constrain Tangent.

Use the Tangent handles with the Move Tool, to adjust the curvatures required, if default does not suit.
