Need help designing an iPhone Case

My friend and I are trying to make a LEGO Star Wars iPhone 6 case (we're not nerds I promise) and we need some help figuring it out. We put an image over one of the faces and tried to trace it and then extrude it. The end goal is to print the whole helmet of the clone with black PLA, and the rest of the phone case itself in white PLA. Anyways, we traced it and tried to extrude it into the case, now can we fill it back up with another material. Or is there a much easier way to do this? We're stuck now.

What you are explaning is how it would be done.

Just majke sure that when you back-fll it to avoind that body auto joining the existing body. Both might have to be separate components.
