Hello . I am making a c notch for my truck chassis . I want to design and cut it out. With my plasma table.. Is their a way to model it and then flatten it out to give me all the cuts I need . I posted a picture of what one side looks like  I basically want to make a 3d version of the notch for the chassis then cut out the sides , top , and bottom and weld them all together.. for example the top cap of the notch I want to make out of one pice of metal . Can fusion flatten it out and give me the measurements of the top piece I need to cut out? Sorry if I'm not explaining myself correctly. Thanks guys.

Yes, use the Sheet Metal workspace.

You'll need to set the appropriate sheet metal rules for thickness and bend radius.

This is not possible in Fusion 360. You can use the sheet metal environment to create parts that you can flatten. But you have to design it from scratch as sheet metal component.

Hi Adam,

one way in the sheet metal workspace would be this:

However, the question of the economic sense must be posed.

And so it works:

Hi Adam,

here is a new model that should be easier to realize:

sheet metal frame 2.sheet metal frame 2.

The inner part should not be a problem.
