Multiple Joints Same Component

I've been using fusion for a long time and I've run into this time and time again, but would always work around it with obscure methods.

I've attached a very basic assembly file that consists of two uniquely shaped parts with identical spaced thru holes in each of them. I would like to joint them together so that their thru holes align with each other. Dating myself, but with solidworks in 2015 I would simply click and mate. If they were indeed identical the operation would complete and I would go about my day. In fusion, I joint one and when I attempt to joint the other, I get the following error.

"the following assembly relationships already exist between the selected components which may cause conflicts if you continues"

Any help would be greatly appreciated and I can put this to bed. =D

Omg.... The way it errors and visually breaks the original joint is why I just stopped. I've 100% in the past clicked by it and it would continue to honor the new joint and break the old joint. In any case ty!

@e9_vito  If you have sketches with a centre to centre line,

Joint the mid points (once).

Might help....
