Multiple Instances of sets of Documents

Hi all,

I have a set of master documents all linked to a design document using derives as illustrated in the upper box below.

I would like to create multiple instances, imagine each instance for a particular client.

Obviously, I can "File Save As" the initial design document.

What I would really like to do is a "File Save As" of the 3 downstream derived documents but have them not linked to the initial design document in the master, but linked to the initial design document in the Client (n) set

The reason for this is there is a lot of work in the downstream documents, only which a tiny % of features/bodies etc will be changed.

I can't see how this can be down with Fusion if I want to inherit derived features from the client (n) master without creating the downstream 3 documents from scratch.

Thoughts anyone?

The workaround for this would be to export the Master design into a .f3z.

Th .f3z will contain the master design and the three design files derived from it.

Then create a new "client" folder ad upload the .f3z to it.

You'll lose the version history of the designs in the process.
