Multiple Instances of a component

Hi,

is it possible to have multiple instances of a component within one Design?

Example: I'm designing a plug that later should sit on different other elements. I want to design it one time and then place instances of it onto that different elements. When changing something from the plug it should change in every other instance.

Is that possible?

funfact: Sketchup (former google, now trimbal) calls this components 🙂

Multiple instance of components can be created.  When any of the instances are modified each component updates.  The instance happens at the component level though so a body would need to be changed to a component.  Select the body and Right Mouse Button to get the context menu.  There is an item there called "Create Components from Bodies".  The Body will become a component.  Then to create an instance use the RMB to Copy the component and then Paste.  You will see a Paste New in the context menu as well.  Paste New will create a copy that will not update with changes to any of the other instance. I used a T-Spline for the example but any component will update with changes to any of the instances.

Here is a little video to show how it works.
