Moving Designs

Good Morning All,

I have designs in multiple project and need to consolidate them.

Can someone please point me to instruction that either allow this in Fusion 360 or Autodesk 360?

Thanks

You can right click on a project in your projects folders and there is an option to move..  Hope this helps.

Thank you, But no, it does not work.

I have an assembly that had 6 referenced sub-assemblies.

I tried to insert that assembly in to a main assembly.  It produced the following Error :

"Inserting a distributed design from one project to another is not currently supported.

Project of current design: Grid Version 3
Project of design being inserted: Overhead Truck"

So I knew that you can not move or even copy from one project that contains any referenced designs.

So I made a new file and broke all the references.

It still will not allow copying to a separate project.

It turns out that the problem was that the design still had external references.

Unfortunately they were buried deep inside of a sub-assembly.

The solution was to use the information icon in the Design List and verify that no Child Designs exist.  Once you discover any you must locate them and break the link.   This will allow moving from one Project to another.
