Moving components to a new group

I am trying to move a bunch of these upper zippers into a seperate group called "middle body", but once selected I can't drag them all there. They seem to move individually even though they are all selected - I want to move them all. 

Am i doing anything wrong?

There's not screen cast or model attached.  Need something more to know what your talking about
